I had such a fun morning photographing these two angels earlier this month. This was the result from my casting call I had promoted in a previous blog to capture some beautiful images especially for competition.  Thank you Emma for welcoming me into your home to spend the morning with you and your sweet little girls India & Georgia. They were so happy and full of character. An absolute delight!

As you may know I specialise in newborn & baby photography sessions in South West London. I am based in Balham and regularly have photo sessions around Clapham, Wandsworth, Earlsfield and Dulwich. However I travel all over London with my baby photography. My sessions take place in the comfort of your home, capturing natural expressions and creating pieces of art to cherish for a lifetime.

1 year old twins – London Baby Photographer

Do you remember these little girls? I photographed them 6 months ago and had the privilege to photograph them again a couple of weeks ago.  This was to document their 1 year old milestone, a photo session at their own home local to Clapham.

With the whole family recovering from a week of illness and a house packed up ready to make the move over to the States the following week, nothing was going to stop them from having these memories captured. A busy session full of excitement and the unknown. This age is so unpredictable and with working in the dedicated space, I think they did great!

Lots of moving around, changing angles to keep them entertained. Books are always a winner and so is climbing all over the furniture!

A beautiful connection between Mummy and Molly and a lovely moment between Daddy and Maggie.

If course we managed to capture the family shot, the most unpredicable moment of the session yet all co operated and what lovely expressions from them all.

Sophie and Emma’s Clapham mini photo session

I had a lovely morning with twins Sophie and Emma for their mini photo session. They were such sweet little girls, both full of character.

Easing into the photo shoot, they had a walk around in Mummy’s shoes which they really enjoyed. Giving them freedom to enjoy their surroundings is important to capture those natural expressions. We photographed up in the loft where there was beautiful light. We had some fun singing, playing and lots of laughing.

You need to work quickly especially with twins. Turning everything into an enjoyable game. When it came to the individual photographs, I would have one of them stand next to me to be my special helper. It is important to make sure both are included somehow in all photographs otherwise they tend to become bored and can start playing up.

Having a portrait together is always fun and believe me they did! Every time they heard the camera click  they would throw themselves backwards in fits of laughter! I had to work quickly. I started to make really loud noises so they wouldn’t hear the ‘clicking’ straight away, buying me some extra time.

Sophie enjoyed diving up close towards the camera. Emma enjoyed pulling her craziest facial expressions. I then began to sing the ‘sleeping bunnies’ song to keep them settled in one place, what was I thinking! Sophie decided to pretend she was asleep and would not open her eyes until I had finished the song. It made quite a sweet photo in the end. An absolute pleasure to photograph.

Enjoy the photos from Emma and Sophie’s ‘Clapham mini photo session’.

Baby twin girls – 3 months old – London baby Photographer

A sneak peek into Eloise & Annabelle’s first photo session. Absolutely adorable! As you know I specialise in newborn baby photography, sleepy, eyes shut and gently moulded kinda shots. Well, this was a completely different challenge all together. These two were such smiley happy little girls! Facial expressions change by the second and boy do you have to work hard to nail the shots! Staring into a big black camera wasn’t exactly interesting so being a dancing singing clown has now become part of my job description! ‘We had a wonderful time. This family has really made me so excited about this new adventure I’m entering.

Enjoy! ( I think the last image needs a caption  )
