Family photography session Wandsworth Common

I don’t often photograph outside, but just couldn’t resist on this beautiful Autumn day! Finn has just turned one and his Mum & Dad wanted to celebrate it with a family photography session.

Don’t you just love the golden autumn leaves?! Such a beautiful backdrop.

What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than at Wandsworth Common? A popular spot in this beautiful, family oriented suburb.

Finn found his feet early.  He started walking at only 9 months old, and he hasn’t looked back. Exploring the common with his bunny pal in hand, he had such a spring in his step I think he forgot it was Autumn.

I photographed Finn as a newborn baby. The joys of return clients, you get to see how much they have grown up!

Want to have your little one captured this Autumn? I have a couple of spaces left in November for some outdoor baby portraits.

Do contact me for more details.

Silver Awards

A quick update, last month I received two Silver Awards and a bronze for the images I submitted in the Guild of Photographers monthly photo competition. I have gained steady bronzes over the last few months but am thrilled to have reached the Silver level again. Two in one month, bonus!

As some of you may know, I took the challenge last year and managed to gain a ‘Photographers Bar’. Rather pleased.

Every month entries are assessed and given points by a full panel of highly respected judges. At the end of the year, the points are added up to give you your final score.

This can take up hours of my time, choosing and editing images ready to be judged, not an easy task! This however continues to push me as a Photographer to continue to learn my craft. There are thousands of entries per month and only about 15-40 Silver and Golds are awarded on average monthly. So a great achievement to be amongst one one them.

Baby Boy | Wandsworth newborn baby photographer

A short drive to Balham and had a lovely newborn photography session with little Finley, 12 days old. Gorgeous hair and beautiful long eye lashes. He adored the cuddles and extra attention but enjoyed his  long deep sleep as well. Perfect to capture these curly adorable poses. An absolute joy to work with. Enjoy these sneak peeks!

Wandsworth newborn baby photographer

Just around the corner right here in Wandsworth, I got to photograph this sweet newborn baby boy only 10 days old.  It was so lovely to meet up with his Mummy a couple of weeks before he was born. We had a lovely chat over a cup of tea about what the kind of images we wanted to produce. A look around the nursery and selecting the most comfortable room to work in is all part of the service. A lovely way to bond and made meeting little Iliyan that much more special.

Loads of cuddles as he decided sleep was over rated. Best part of the job I reckon! He was so calm, so placid, so laid back, just an absolute joy. A short feeding stop and wide awake moments half way through the session. A perfect break and more excuses for more cuddles. Photographing in the comfort of my clients home means these moments are so relaxed. Being at home you feel you are on no time schedule. I encourage my clients to potter around and use this time as a well deserved break.

I loved hanging out with you Iliyan! We managed a range of set ups in the living room and if course a beautiful Mummy and Son shot. Don’t you just love the way he is mimicking her. Just adorable. So excited to show you your full gallery of images.

Baby girl twins 7 months old – London baby Photographer

The four “M’s” had a blast yesterday morning during our photography session. Mummy, Maggie, Molly and if course me, Martha. Such happy little girls and full of smiles!  Well, Molly was, Maggie made me work for it. Such a busy hour, making the most of every wakeful happy moment. An absolute joy to work with. The nursery was full of the letter “M’s” which I adored as I am an alphabet collector myself. Enjoy!

Baby twin girls – 3 months old – London baby Photographer

A sneak peek into Eloise & Annabelle’s first photo session. Absolutely adorable! As you know I specialise in newborn baby photography, sleepy, eyes shut and gently moulded kinda shots. Well, this was a completely different challenge all together. These two were such smiley happy little girls! Facial expressions change by the second and boy do you have to work hard to nail the shots! Staring into a big black camera wasn’t exactly interesting so being a dancing singing clown has now become part of my job description! ‘We had a wonderful time. This family has really made me so excited about this new adventure I’m entering.

Enjoy! ( I think the last image needs a caption  )
